9:08 pm	Cowabunga Corner Wow can't believe it's really been that long since I've posted in my journal here... yeah... I'm bad when it comes to posting on LJ. I know I've done a few post in the TMNT group here, but other than that I spend my time on TMNT-L, Facebook and Youtube. Most of the time I'm working on Cowabunga Corner, my video blog I started in Feb. 2010 and is still going strong. Where I share interviews, reviews and memories. A lot of fun with behind the scenes features of some fun stuff like a visit to the set of Ninja Turtles : The Next Mutation. A look at the opening and closing of the Words and Pictures Museum. I even got up the behind the scenes from when Totally Obsessed interviewed me. 10:47 am	Surgery Well good news, this last Friday I got a call asking me if I'd be up for having my surgery on August 1st, and I agreed. So this Friday I'll be going in for the surgery. 11:39 pm	Robbed in Maryland Hey everyone, I know most people who keep up with me on TMNT-L already know this, though not everyone reads the topics there normally. And I figured some friends would want to know what has happened this month. Early this month Miki (my sister) and I went on a trip, we went to Wizard Con in PA than headed to hang out in Maryland between cons to visit with Crittle. While she would be at work, Miki and I would go to a water front area near where she worked and hang out there. Feeding the fish, and such. That Friday we were suppose to leave to head to New York... though before going we wanted to show Crittle where we've been hanging out. This was our shortest amount of time in the woods, with maybe an hour. When we got back, my passenger door window was smashed out, and everything that was worth something in the front passenger seat was taken. From my sister's purse to my laptop. I feel very sick about this whole thing, there was a lot taken and we're going through a lot to try and get things in order. Insurance will replace most things though some things can't be replaced. A script from Ninja Turtles : The Next Mutation, episode 2. Personally autographed to me... (if seen for sale anywhere please notify me). Is just one of the items gone that can not be replaced. A little zip up bag given to my sister from a friend of her's who died a year ago, is another thing. There was so much gone, it made us sick... we know it could of been worse but still it was bad enough. Now everyone's like, why is that stuff in your car. We were in between places and was ready to leave to our next stop (NYC for Big Apple Con). Though we did cover everything up anytime we left the car so nothing would be in sight. Our guess is, this person watched us drive up and saw us cover our items up. I am determined to see this person caught, but I won't go into the details on how we're looking into this. Let's just say there is a trail. So I am sorry if I'm quiet or not on as much these days. Things are a bit crazy. Most updates on how things are doing, is posted on TMNT-L. 1:24 am	Why am I not in bed yet? Heh, I'm tired yeah... just updating things than doing a reboot to my computer and these updates are taking longer than I thought they would. Figured I'd pop in here and say hi to anyone who looks towards this quiet journal here on LJ. Not too much going on that most of my friends don't already know from myspace or TMNT-L, though here's a fast run down of what's going on. - Stress : Lots of it! - Health : Family having health issues, that's got us worried. - Arm : Something is finally going to be done to help me with my arm, it's an implant that'll block the pain from my arm. So that I won't be in pain 24/7. Though got a lot to go through before the implant, including a test one that should be any day now. - Conventions : Love them still, still traveling to them and still writing reviews about them. Just got home from March Toronto Anime Con, next month going to NYC Comic Con, than May is Motor City Comic Con, June is Anime Next and so on... the cons just keep stacking up. All fun and great meet ups. - TV : Recent shows I'm enjoying besides TMNT are Naruto, Death Note, Kappa Mikey, and American Idol (which is the first season I've shown any interest in this show what so ever). - Online : Still hanging out at the same hangouts as usual, #TMNT, TMNT-L and myspace. I've been popping in and out of Face Book lately too, though prefer myspace. Main messangers are AIM, MSN, and Yahoo (all through Trillain). So over all not too much new news going on. And with all of my stress lately, I've been ranting about that more in my myspace blog... I hope everyone is doing well, and I'm sorry if I haven't contacted any of you for a bit... things have been... well busy... very busy... 3:17 pm	Conventions Hey everyone! I guess this is the one thing I'm bringing up most everywhere, Conventions for the year as of now. Most anyone who knows me, knows I love to go to conventions. So as of right now here is my Years list of conventions which I'm 100% sure I'll be at. A&G Ohio (Voice of Tatsu from the TMNT movies is going to be there!) Katsucon (Been planning this trip for a year, won a cool auction last year for 4 badges and a hotel room!) NYC Comic Con (Got a room booked with Crittle already, just need to Pre Reg!) Motor City Comic Con (I've gone to every year since 1997) Anime Next (Pre Reged and staying with Crittle and a handful of other friends and it sounds like my sister will be coming!) Canada National Expo (I go to every year, don't have anything booked for this yet) Youmacon (Local con, easy to go too.) I'm sure there will be events added to this through the year, if anyone is going to any of these events and want to meet up please do let me know. 10:24 am	Anime Next 2007 Hey everyone! I know I really don't post here much, though I was reading through and realized a lot of Anime Next reviews here in LJ, and figured I should add something heh. Well I don't like posting reviews in more than one place, so I'll give a link to my review. 4:25 pm	TMNT Movie Gatherings Hey everyone, I'm trying to help get together groups of TMNT fans across the country to see the movie. I think it'd be awesome if we could do big get togethers for this at theatres. Like a NYC group, a Chicago group, a Texas group, a LA group and more! To try and keep it in order I'm working on the topics on TMNT-L, in the events and meet up area. So that people can say where they're going to see the movie and if others want to join them, they can start to bring together a gathering of TMNT fans. We could have buttons designs done, for everyone that is taking part in this! That'd be fun, if one person per a group can find a place to have the design put onto a button! (I know I'm doing NYC and I already know a place that could handle this!!!). It's just an idea, of showing the TMNT fans united. 11:51 pm	Copied from DJ that was posted earlier today. * Another rear time pasted, may keepthat up for the car accident topic* Hiya all, Updates and I wish I had my camera today didn't realize what was going to happen while out. Nothing bad, it goes back to last Friday when things kind of upset me a bit. See Friday I decided to call the shop and see how my car is doing, since I wasn't hearing anything. What surprised me about this call was the fact that my car wasn't even there yet! Seems things were not done as they were suppose to be done, on Monday last week. We did our part, we even went to the yard to see my car and told them that AAA should be calling them that day for the tow. Than we called AAA, they said that they'd have it towed where we want it, though asked us to call the shop and let them know it's coming in. So we did that... and waited... as people asked me if I heard anything... all week I was going "No, no one has called me yet..." Which is what lead us to Friday. I called the towing company and ordered the tow for my bug to be brought to the shop, and once again found myself waiting with no word. I was going to wait till Tuesday to check up on the car, just to give them a little time to let me know it's there. Though this morning I finally got the call. Today I wanted the car so I could pay my AAA bill, so I went with my mom to her job and drop her off than was heading out to go to AAA. Though before I even got to the road to leave, my phone rang and it was the body shop, they got my car and needed me to sign a paper saying it's ok for them to work on my car. So since I was only a mile away, I turned in that direction and went straight over to sign those papers. While there they asked if I could get my personal belongings out of the car, so I got to check out the car more this time. If I had my camera I would of even got better pictures since no one parked in blocking me like they did on Monday. Sure enough there's red paint as shown in the pictures on the driver side rim around the tire, and the bumper was laying on the ground so I got to look at that, seeing the paint all over the bumper. This was the closes look I got at the bumper since this all went down, so I got to see a lot more of how badly broken up it is. Here is the list so far that they have on what they know they're going to do to my car, and this is before they lift the car up and see what needs to be done. This is just from looking at the outside of the car, they still want to raise it up and get a look under it, incase debree caused trouble under the car, and they're going to clean up all the scratches and key marks on my bug as well. The guy taking care of me, Bill has been very nice and said he'll be giving me up to date information on how the bug is doing. If there's any delays or problems, he'll make sure to call me. I know I didn't have to give all this deal in my DJ. Heh, but this is keeping it as up to date as I can and want to. I like to make sure everyone knows what's going on, and how things are being handled. I also would like to say THANKS to a handful of friends, who know who they are that truely helped me by offering to help with the deductible so that it is totally taken care of. * Big Hugs * I don't know if I could of done this without your help! (I don't know if they want to be known public or not, for helping so I'll leave names out of this post. Though I can't thank these people enough for the help that they have given me durning this hard time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). After seeing the bug, I got to empty all of my personal belongings out of it. And now am back to waiting. Though at least now it's being taken care of. Nightmare... shaken up really bad *taking a few deep breaths* 8:43pm Easteren time, driving West bound on I 696, going towards I-75, Eclipse and I were in a hit and run accident. Both of us are lucky to say that we were not injured and I want to make that clear before shareing the story and pictures. I just got home from PG's house today, I came home for the "Raido Disney" TMNT Tour that is taking place tomorrow here in Detroit area. After getting home I spent some time up in my room watching X-Men, updating things on my computer, and waiting for Eclipse to be dropped off. Though before I heard from her, my folks called asking if I wanted to go out for dinner. We went to Chillies... yes that was good stuff... After that I called Eclipse and her dad wasn't up for the drive, and was kind of hinting for me to pick her up. So I offered. I went and picked her up, she lives maybe about 30 miles from my house... I get on 696 going East to 94, and her exit is near there. So I went, not like I haven't been on the road a lot lately, no biggie. I drove to her place and got her, we even stopped by a store so she could pick up a few things. I goofed around in the store...I believe it was a Walgreens. Once back on the road we talked a little and decided we were heading to SW to watch last weekends TMNT (since I still haven't seen it Sad/Down (last Saturday the Fox station down in KY was out, so PG and I (even though we tried) did not get to see the TMNT episoide). So this meant I was going to be takeing 696 to I-75 to SW's exit (which is the same exit I use to live off of). We were nearing I-75, I remember the radio being on... I just turned on the "Coming Out of Their Shells" sound track, and had to hit fast forward because it was the end of side one of the tape. Just than a red truck in the lane next to me (It was a Ford), came into my lane cutting me off... I slowed down and hit the horn though it was too late, the back side of the truck hit. The area that hit was around the back right tire of the truck to my front left bumper. I couldn't slow down any more... not with it holding onto my car, I saw debree start to fly by me, as the truck than swurved back into the lane it was coming from ripping my bumper off of the front of my car, we watched as it went over the car. Just than I heard "Walk straight! Walk Straight!" I hit the radio off, and got to the right lane, to watch the red truck speed off. I don't know how many times I hit my horn while he was hitting me... I got out of my car and when I saw the damage I about freaked.... this is my baby... my dream car, something I've wanted all of my life and I take care of like no one would believe... and that gackface just totally trashed it and took off!!!! I can't say how pizza'ed I am about this, or how shaken up I am. Eclipse got out of the car and saw it, she went and sat on the hill... I saw the shock in her eyes as well... I called my mom, she had me call 911 where I reported it and they sent a police car. After taking the pictures I went and got a warmer to drop into my sleeve since my right arm wasn't helping me feel any better, than sat next to Eclipse, hoping to help her relax... though I couldn't stay sitting there. So I called SW and told her we're not coming over, than I called PG and let her know what happened as well. Than I called my mom saying I'm feeling very sick out there waiting for the police... just than the officer showed up. They told us to stay in the car, while they wrote up the report. Though while we were sitting there a red van pulled up and stopped in front of us... a guy got out of the van and walked by looking at us in the car than went towards the police car. He came back to us and I took the window down a little. He asked me what's going on... "A Hit and Run... police is writting it up." I kept the door closed and locked, I didn't know this guy. Than he went back to the police officer and talked to him. We sat in the car, I didn't know if the guy was lost needing directions or what... I was too shaken up to really care who he was... I didn't know what was going to happen now. My mom called just as the toe truck showed up, and the officer told Eclipse and I to get into the car with him. The Red van left. I went and sat down in the passanger seat next to the officer, and he told me that the guy who pulled over was a witness to the whole thing and chased down the red truck that hit me. He got ahold of the guy's license Plate number, and described the car to the Police Officer. The Plate Number was not a real plate number, so the officer believes that the truck was stolen with a fake plate put on it. The police are out looking for it now. He said we were very luck, just last night an accident just like this happened further down on 696... and two people were killed, the car that was hit, rolled over. So we were lucky that I kept control of the car. He gave us a ride home and even came in to talk to mom and dad... After the officer left, my mom called AAA and put in the report. The Deductable is $400 that I'm going to have to pay to have the repairs done. Talk about feeling worse upon what already happened... where the hell are we going to come up with an extra $400 when my family is already talking about the fact that we may be loosing our house because we can't afford to live here anymore. Just when we think we get that straightened out this happens. So I'm feeling a wee bit sick right now and very shaken. I'll keep you guys updated on how things go with the car. It should be going into the shop on Monday. If I get any day light pictures of it, I'll post those as well. 2:01 am	BANG! Well this originally was going to Deadjournal, though it figures one of the few times I decide to post, it's down. *shrugs* So here I am. I'm going to paint a picture, though first I want to make it clear that I don't know if anyone was hurt or not, or even how it happened. Though this is tonight's shake up. I was sitting here at the computer, while Georgie Pie and Shadow Wolf was sitting on the futon, watching "Chobits"... just like most weekends, friends over for anime. A good relaxing time. My arm has been really troubling me today, so I didn't do any RPing tonight. More getting ready to make more music videos to post on AMV. (For those who are not on http://www.tmnt-l.com/ and would like to check out any new music videos I've done please go to http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_myprofile.php?user_id=18354 ) Any how, while I was sitting here a big bang was heard, and followed really fast by a shake that went through the full house. I couldn't believe how loud it was, and the shake really starttled us. So we ran down stairs to see if a tree branch or something fell on the house... but it was nothing. We headed back up stairs, as the sound of police, fire trucks, ect... were heard outside. I raced back down stairs and open the door this time not worried about our house but looking up above the houses across the street, to see red sky and lots of BLACK smoke. At that moment I decided I was going to find out what's going on. I got my shoes, hoodie, and coat on. SW and GP came with me. We walked around the block, and crossed at the street where the fire trucks were. We made our way down, and talked with other people on the way. Seems two garages are on fire, one of them had to blow up and catch the other one on fire as well. Though no one knows how, or if any houses were touched by this as well, and we don't know if anyone was hurt or killed by this. Tomorrow we're going to drive by where we can see what happened with our own eyes. And hopefully the news will have something on this. I know if they do, I want to hear it. I'll update here as well for any who may be interested in the news. What's going on other than that in my life? Going insane, that's about it. Money tighter than it's ever been for my full family. As hard as we try we just can't keep up with everything. And of course I'm being stupid and planning more trips. Doing two conventions next month (Katsucon and New York City Comic Con). The trips are something I really hold close to me, I enjoy them very much. All of my conventions that I'm doing is listed in the events area of TMNT-L, as well as plans around them. I also give reviews in the General Discussion area. I've been getting a lot of company lately. GP, SW and now Eclipse. Some of you may know Eclipse from TMNT-L and other TMNT message boards. She's become a very good friend of mine lately and lives close enough so that we can hang out. We met here online, but are now also good friends in person as well. I can't wait for our next chance to hang out (gas tank is empty... so I can't drive out to kidnap her over for a visit.). We've been getting into a lot of animes lately around here. My favorite is "Fullmetal Alchemist", though we've also gottan into "Furits Basket", "Strawberry Eggs", "Naruto", "Gravitation", "Pretear" and so many others... it's been a lot of fun. And it makes me feel a lot more excited about the Anime Conventions since now I know so many others of the guest and their work. I'm a HUGE Dub fan! Give me DUB anyday over SUB! ([:{-D (If ya got a problem with dubs, don't take it out on me. To each their own, I'm just not one to read TV, and personally feel that the dub voices do an awesome job!) 10:40 pm	Trail Date took place on July 14th 2005 Hiya all, It's been awhile since I used LJ for a real journal entry, so I figured I'd give one over here for once. Hehe even started to type this up in DJ and changed my mind. Gotta share the stories right? Ok, this is the long waited court date update. First and most important I must let everyone know one thing... "No results will be given for at least two months". That's right... the Judge gets Two Months to go over the files, what he heard today, and take his time to make his choice on this case. Which means I can not say today if I have won or not, I can only give you the cut and dry... what happened today story. Last night it was very hard to sleep, so I spent a lot of hours tossing and turning... I woke up around 6:30 and started getting ready, I ended up wearing all black, you'd think I was going to a Funeral. To add some color I put on a blue jacket, also to keep my arm warm in a cool building, and to have pockets. Than we headed out the door... we didn't get there till after 8:20am... Roger was waiting in the hall way for me. My parents came up on an elevator not to long after I got up there. Roger was reviewing my case, and talked to me a little bit... making sure that I knew it'd be 2 months before I hear the results and 4 months if lucky before I see money... (that stinks). Than told my mom and dad that it'd be best if they wait in the hall way. Because if needed at all as witness for anything, if they watch this trail they can not be used later. So as heart breaking as it was for them (and yes they were taking that hard... as was I, this meant I was in the room with a bunch of strangers) they went out in the hall to wait as I sat along in a chair next to my lawyers bags. Roger state at a table next to the OTHER Lawyer (I'll call him WC for Worker Comp). They were going over files, placing papers on the table, talking to each other... and even shareing files... which totally took me by surprise (Rogers working with the enemy! *JK*). I took this time to stare out the window, to try and breath a bit. I was nervous but I didn't want to show it, not in there. I believed in myself, I believe in my case, and I know Justic will have to pull through. Through the window I could see the old buildings of Ponica... some tree lines going off out of sight. It was a nice view, and did help me settle down a bit. At one point Roger got up to walk out of the room to make some copies, I looked up to see the Judge come in the room. Now in my history of learning anything in Court TV shows, movies about court, and news about court... when the Judge comes in someone is suppose to say "ALL RISE!" Though no one said anything... nothing big happened, nothing was done at all... besides WC talking to him about papers that they needed. I watched as the Judge gave him a paper and went to get one for Roger. Than Roger returned and the Judge came back with the papers for Roger and they both started to fill out the papers. This was all new to me, this seemed like a school day when the teacher passed out a paper and said "I want your name and date on the paper, but don't look at it till I start the timer." Because that's how this was treated. After the two lawyers finished shorting their paper works, and all was ready the Judge started a BIG clock on the front of his desk, talking to both Lawyers... with opening statements. *takes a breath... not enjoying all this typeing* Roger got to go first, as he called me to the stand. I went up there and sat down, not far from the Judge. Who seemed like a nice man in his early 40's, if I met him on the streets I think this is the type of guy I could talk with and even enjoy the same TV shows as. So I didn't feel to weird sitting up there. I answered all of Rogers questions as best as I could. The only thing WC could object to was when I'd start to explain something but it took hear say to explain it. Than my lawyer would ask clear cut questions. It was annoying having him break my train of thought like that. But I understood and wanted to get this taken care of. Roger did a great job at covering everything, what I did at work, how I got hurt, what meds I'm on, what doctors I saw, what I did at past jobs, why I can't do any of these jobs anymore, how many times I take my meds, costume work, depression, effects of pain, how the pain feels, when it hurts the most, cold causing pain, and over all feel of who I am type questions. I was happy with this, I felt good and got everything out with no problem. As Roger knew what he was doing, better than I could of thought he did. Though he proved this more when CW got to ask me questions. CW got up and started to ask about work, he went back to when I got out of High School, when I first started working, what jobs I did... like Naama Karate, Jeepers, and Hampton Inn were not on the list that Roger asked me about. CW than started asking doctor questions, like how I felt about some of them. I was open in answering how I felt, like about the one guy who did the first EMG and was able to get me off of Worker Comp even though he wasn't my doctor. Though I also spoke highly of some of my other doctors I had while still under Worker Comp, to show I did not have a problem with everyone. Rick got a lot of praise from me, for doing great at his job. He than started to go off subject... (if you read the last entry in DJ, you'd know what I'm talking about). He brought up MS, and Roger popped up... "I Object!" Judge agreed, got nothing to do with this case. Than he brought up the injury of 2003.. and tried to read files and ask if I know anything about it... once again "I Object!" came from Roger as it was known as Hear Say, and had nothing to do with this trail... the Judge did not seem happy with this either. Roger got to cross question me, I answered everything for him, most of which ruleing out anything that's got to do with that back injury of 2003 with what is wrong with my arm now. And he did it real well, at first I didn't know where he was going at it... though he did make his point clear and I followed with. It felt like all was good and out of the blue till one last thing came up... CW had another question... "When you first talked about what happened in these files you said it was 5 to 10 seconds, than you went to 10 to 15. Today you said 15... it seems your number keeps going up." "Well when I first gave 5 to 10, I was still in shock at the time. Though later when thinking about it, I had time to get shocked... realize I can't move, think about screaming, scream, stop screaming and try to move again before it released me. So I realized that happened in more than 10 seconds, though I haven't and won't go over 15 seconds." "FOR NOW" He spoke hard and angred. "OBJECT! Arguemental!" Roger said standing up, realizing that WC was getting out of control there. "I won't have this in my court" the Judge agreed. Soon after the trail was done, I said good bye to the Judge, even shook his hand. And talked with Roger on the way out, he really surprised me in how well he handled himself in the court room. And I feel inside that the trail went good. For us. I hoping with all my heart that the Judge sees the truth in all he learned today. I know I didn't give all my answers... though I was in there from 8:30 till 11am, that'd take too long to type. Once I came out in the hall I saw my mom and dad and got hugs. We went down stairs and talked about the case when we got outside more with Roger. Than headed out to enjoy my dad's Bday. The rest of the day went well, Took my dad out for Ice Cream for his Bday, hung out with Belle, talked with both my sister and brother, than took dad out for dinner. A full and enjoyable day. This weekend ahead got a Harry Potter Party to go too, got a Baby Shower to go too, and got a lot of Chucky to show a friend. So a busy weekend ahead as well. Cheerio all! 6:45 pm	Anime Next! My mom just checked over the bills for next month, and has decided that she'll help me with something I've been wanting to do for awhile now. She'll help me go to Anime Next! SW's been offering to help since I lost my income, so I've really been wanting to go. Though she couldn't afford everything. Once mom told me she'd help, I talked over things with SW and it sounds like I'll be there!!!!! (7 Comments |Comment on this)
